Eldorado is a 1:1 full-size replica of the Mutable Instruments Elements modal synthesizer, using the same circuit and firmware with identical functionality. Elements is a complete synthesis voice built on modal synthesis: a sound is designed by specifying a resonant structure (plate, string, tube), the properties of the material it is made of (stiffness, absorption), and how that structure is excited — struck, plucked, blown or bowed. External audio can also be used as the exciter. Elements is raw: the sound of scratching scrap metal or wind in a PVC tube, not a symphonic orchestra.
Built by hand in California. With an anodized aluminum panel, real Alpha components and the same parts as the original, down to the exact LEDs used, it is as close as you can come in a new build.
