Excalibur is a full-size replica of the Mutable Instruments Blades dual multimode filter, using the same circuit and components with identical functionality. Blades is a stereo/dual filter with continuously variable response, a wavefolder on each channel, and a crossfade control between the two — usable as two independent filters or as a single stereo processor.
Unlike most copies, this is made with all the original parts, both chips and hardware: genuine Alpha pots and Bourns trimmers like the original, the correct opamp and VCA chips, and even the same LEDs used in the original.
Built by hand in California. With an anodized aluminum panel, real Alpha pots and the same components as the original, it is as close as you can come in a new build.
